Decker Transport is a dry van truckload carrier with a primary service area east of the Mississippi, as well as Louisiana, Texas, Minnesota, and the St. Louis area. Our company takes pride in the premium service provided to customers such as K-Mart, Nabisco, Castrol Motor Oil and many other well known corporations. TERMINALS. In addition to our corporate office in Riverdale, NJ, we have terminals or drop yards in Willard, OH; Chicago, IL; Breese, IL; Atlanta, GA; and Indianola, MS.

HOME TIME. Drivers living in our primary service area are entitled to be home every other weekend. A drivers "due home date" is treated with utmost priority and over 75% of our drivers get home weekly.

MILES. Drivers average 2800 miles a week, and it is not unusual to have many drivers with over 3000 miles a week.

DISPATCH. All drivers are assigned to one specific "driver manager" to ensure that complete and consistent communication is accomplished. All dispatch assignments are flexible. NO NYC required!

REGULAR LINE HAUL. .85 a mile for all loaded and empty dispatched miles (Rand McNally house-hold goods mileage guide #17). Fuel Surcharge program in effect which passes 100% of the company surcharge back to you.

LOADS UNDER 300 MILES. Paid at 68% of the line haul rate. D/H pay of .40 per mile after the first 50 miles of D/H.

BONUS PAY. 5 cent bonus for all loaded miles over 105,000 miles paid annually.

STOP OFF PAY. Pay is $35 per stop excluding the initial pick up and final delivery.

LOADING/UNLOADING. Over 95% of our loads are "no touch". If you are dispatched on one of the rare loads that requires labor, the pay is $40. Up to 50% of our loads are drop and hook.

LAYOVERS. While layovers are not frequent in our operation, they do occur on occasion. The pay is $40.

MAINTENANCE. Parts and maintenance available at fleet prices.

SIGN ON BONUS.For a limited time, all new owner operators will receive a $500 sign on bonus.

PLATES. An I.R.P. plate apportioned for our service area.

PERMITS. Provided without cost for states in our service area.

HEALTH INSURANCE. Available at group rates.

FUEL CARDS. Supplied with a $250 weekly cash advance available. Drivers receive fuel rebates on fuel purchased at T/A and Flying J truckstops.

CARGO AND GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE. Provided without cost.

ORIENTATION. Physical, drug test, meals and lodging are paid for. You also receive $225 for completing orientation.

QUALCOMM. Installed and provided free of charge. (A $500 security deposit is required. Weekly deductions are available.) Email cabcards are also provided.

SAFETY AWARDS PROGRAMS. Annual safety awards provided to all qualified drivers. Also, monthly and annual owner operator of the year awards.

RIDER PROGRAM. Available after 21 days.

SETTLEMENT CHECKS. Provided weekly. (Direct deposit available.)

SECURITY. A $1,000 security account is required. Weekly deductions are available.

BOBTAIL INSURANCE. $500,000 is required along with physical damage insurance on your tractor. (Bobtail insurance is available through Decker for $30 a month.)

OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE. A certificate for Occupational Accident Insurance is required. (Available through Decker for $170 per month.)

TRACTOR. A tractor in good condition, (must pass company inspection), that can legally haul loads up to 45,500 lbs. and pull a 53’ van trailer is required.
